More today than ever before that I know of, travel is a large part of life. Yes, long long ago, nomadic tribes moved around, but rarely did they leave what we would call a small area. Even in Africa and the Middle East, a nomadic tribe may not even circulate in an area as large as the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex.
Today, however, people travel the world regularly for their job, to see family and friends, to learn, or just to relax while leaving work and home responsibilities on a back burner for a time.
Travel though, even if it’s leisure travel, can still be a wonderful growth experience. Trying new food, meeting people from a different walk of life, seeing literal parts of history. The 2026 FIFA World Cup has shown us, via the lens of social media, people from around the world visiting the US, commenting on the food, culture, people, and yes, when in Texas, the size of Buccees and how many restroom stalls each one has.
Here, I invite you to travel with me, sometimes my travel is physical, sometimes only through photos and articles, but each time it’s with the focus of learning as I travel in person or digitally.
